Electronic Cigarette

Well this is just about the coolest smoking device I have ever seen. The Electronic Cigarette. It runs on a rechargeable battery. You put this small little nicotine cartridge inside, twist it together and then smoke. It looks like a smoke... and has an led light on the end so that when you pull your drag, it lights up. Oh and the best part... this really is the best part... it creates a "fog" that you feel go down and you see come out. Amazing.

For those of us who fell victim to our own devices, being a smoker is as bad as being an alcoholic. Once you accept that it is a bad habit that could eventually speed up your death process, fighting the non-smoking battle is brutal. (let's face it... non-smokers who have grown up with non-smokers still die of lung cancer and smokers who smoke a pack a day do live to be 90)...

I have smoked since I was 16. I have tried cold-turkey, the gum and the patch and what I find I miss the most is the action. It is as much a part of me as the tick I have had since I was born of rubbing blankets between my fingers. So this little product has been an interesting twist on my latest non-smoking faze. I cheated, and of course was hooked again... but thanks to this little fun thing... I can smoke... yes... I am still using the low-nicotine, however... when I grab the courage I will go for the non-nicotine cartridge and see what happens.

So... other things to note: From an environmental standpoint, these are great. A. No second-hand smoke. B. No cigarette butts. No waste. Well, there is small plastic nicotine cartridge which is equivalent to a cigarette butt in size, however equals twenty cigarettes in total. Yes. Cool.



Oh and finally... I haven't tried it yet because I don't go out. We are a home type family and spend Saturday nights shnockered by the campfire... However, there is no doubt in my mind you could smoke these in public and be just fine. I would try a seedy bar first and work my way up... however, as there is absolutely no smoke, just a non-smelling, immediately dissipating vapor, you would receive awe vs. scolding.
