Wow. It has been a long time since the last time I wrote! We have been busy busy. The weather has been wonderful and we went to Indiana for a trip to my hometown. I was amazed at how clean the city of Indianapolis is. As far as a recycling program or the need for people to recycle, they aren't there yet... but clean, yes.
My best girlfriend has gone and planted herself a garden. It far outranks mine and I am thoroughly impressed. I am extremely jealous she is able to grow this magnificent garden. Granted, I have extremely harsh hotness and lots of sand. However, she had peppers of all kinds, tomato plants to be jealous of and cucumbers, radishes and more.
I am still trying to figure out what to do with my garden. The squirrels have finally moved on and my banana trees are finally getting a chance to survive. The little bastards would my chutes down to nothing, I assume for water. I now have six chutes and they are growing fast. Hopefully they will produce something. It's a guessing game.
The pineapple plants are still not producing like they should. We have had plenty of rain and when it didn't rain, they received very little. Some of the plantings are still quite new. We will give it a little more attention and then possible move the whole garden to a sunnier spot in the yard.
My strawberry plants are starting to produce green leaves again. I do believe the movement of the squirrels did quite a bit for my garden. I even have flowers on the pepper plants. still no peppers.
Yes... it has been a busy summer in the garden and will soon be busier again (now that all of my efforts won't be thwarted by the obnoxious animal family who didn't pay rent)
